TIGER FORCE
TEAM TANGO (code name TIGER FORCE) is the Joe Team Operational Detachment deployed for missions in dense vegetation environments dominated by trees. This unit has advanced training in jungle warfare and survival specializing in land navigation, patrolling, rope management & rappelling, and booby traps. TIGER FORCE detachment members are graduates of the Jungle Skills, Jungle Leaders, and Jungle Endurance Courses at the Jungle Warfare Training Center at Camp Gonsalves in Okinawa, Japan.
TIGER FORCE are outfitted with various combat craft painted with their signature camouflage markings specific for jungle missions. These include the TIGER CAT half-track assault/patrol transport, TIGER FLY assault copter, TIGER PAW four wheel drive ATV, and TIGER SHARK riverine cruiser. The TIGER RAT ground attack jet is piloted by Air Force Lt. Colonel Alexander P. Russo (code name SKYSTRIKER) of the G.I. Joe Fighter Squadron.
