SKY PATROL

TEAM SIERRA (code name SKY PATROL) is the Joe Team  Operational Detachment that specializes in Milltary Free Fall (MFF).  They are experts in a range of parachuting techniques, including static line and HALO (High Altitude-Low Opening) and HAHO (High Altitude-High Opening) trained to jump from altitudes of 10,000 to 25,000 feet with and without weapons, combat equipment and supplemental oxygen system in day and night conditions. Most unit members have completed Military Free Fall Parachutist, Military Free Fall Jumpmaster, and Free Fall Advanced Tactical Infiltration Courses at Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona.

SKY PATROL is equipped with various combat craft coated with an advanced, radar-reflective protectant that provides low-observability and camouflage. These include the SKY HAVOC Heavy Articulated Vehicle Ordnance Carrier), SKY RAVEN high altitude jet, SKY HAWK VTOL (Vertical Take Off & Landing) craft, and SKY SHARC Single-Pilot High-speed Attack and Reconnaissance Craft.
